Judging by the looks, the T78 very much resembles a mix between two classic American vehicles, taking the hull from the M24 Chaffee and the turret from the M18 Hellcat (or the M36 Jackson if you will). With this combination, you can already guess how this vehicle will be played - a fast tank destroyer, second line support, and medium tank terror.
Gameplay
As you can imagine, the T78 is quite squishy. It uses the hull and the turret from vehicles that aren't exactly known for their outstanding survivability. The only well-armoured part is the turret front, thanks to the gun mantlet. However, don't count on it to bounce much, focus on not getting hit instead.
Getting from A to B is not a problem with this American. With its light weight and strong engine power, you can easily keep up with medium tanks and support them with your gun. Pay attention to the lower hull and turret traverse though. You are prone to be circled by faster vehicles, that's why you shouldn't lead the charge - let more bulky vehicles take the front line.
The T78 is equipped with a 90 mm gun with comparable characteristics to the M18 Hellcat and the M36 Jackson. So overall, it finds a good and comfortable balance between damage per shot, penetration power, accuracy, and rate of fire. Rest assured that there isn't much to pay attention to here – the gun will do its job just fine at any range. Also, because most medium tanks have lower damage per shot, you can trade shots with them to come out on top.

If this set of equipment reminds you of what a medium tank should have, nice observation. That's exactly what these pieces are aiming towards. The T78 may be classified as a tank destroyer, but let's be honest: it plays more like a medium tank, so it's best to improve its gun parameters and view range to be more versatile and independent from scouts.
