WZ-111 model 1-4

After the 110 where you could clearly see the similarities between this one and the Soviet IS-3, this Tier IX heavy tank has a more Chinese influence to it, moving away from the original designs. Despite being a heavy tank, the WZ-111 model 1-4 trades survivability in favour of mobility. 

Gameplay

While the 110 boasted respectable frontal armour, at least at the pike nose, you'll see instantly that the angles are not as favourable any more. This affects the effective armour thickness negatively. Bounces can still happen here and there, but you shouldn't rely on your armour too much. Luckily, the turret is still pretty strong so if you manage to hide your hull, this nut will be hard to crack.

Mind the (typically for Chinese vehicles) mediocre gun depression angle. You'll need to place your vehicle differently if you want to hide your hull.

What improved significantly is the mobility. Now you won't have much trouble keeping up with medium tanks. Depending on the enemy team setup, going with them is a better strategy than sticking to the heavy tank line. If there are too many super-heavy vehicles on the opposing side, help your medium tanks break through the other flank. In this case, you can even use your armour and HP pool to push the enemy medium tanks back. Succeed, and your team can attack the enemy from both sides.

Another huge improvement is the armament: a devastating 130 mm gun is waiting at the end of the line. The damage is more than respectable, at the cost of rate of fire. The accuracy and aiming time are actually not as bad as you would believe, however, we still recommend you use the respective pieces of equipment to improve those aspects (see below). When fighting other medium tanks, trading shots is the go-to strategy!

The selection of crew skills and perks is the very same as the previous vehicle. However, if the weak ammo rack bothers you too much, it makes more sense to use Safe Stowage first and Repair as the second skill. Each of these skills and perks makes a noticeable difference in the performance of your tank so having an experienced crew pays off!

Adrenaline Rush

Decreases the gun reload time by 10% if your vehicle's HP drops below 10%.

Works only if the skill progress has reached 100%.

Brothers in Arms / Sisterhood of Steel

Increases the training level of your crew members by 5%.

Works only if the skill progress has reached 100% for every single crew member.

Band of Brothers

Increases the training level of your crew members by 5%.

Call for Vengeance

Reports the enemy vehicles' location for two more seconds after the destruction of the own vehicle.

Clutch Braking

Increases the traverse speed of your vehicle.

The higher the skill progress, the higher the effect.

Concealment

Increases the camouflage value of your vehicle.

The higher the skill progress, the higher the effect.

Controlled Impact

Increases the ramming damage dealt and decreases damage taken by ramming.

The higher the skill progress, the higher the effect.

Deadeye

Increases the chance of landing a critical hit.

Works only if the skill progress has reached 100%.

Designated Target

Keeps targetes vehicles visible for two more seconds.

Works only if the skill progress has reached 100%.

Eagle Eye

Allows you to identify damaged/destroyed modules as well as injured crew members of an enemy vehicle by hovering your mouse over it for several seconds.

Works only if the skill progress has reached 100%.

Firefighting

Reduces the duration and damage taken by fire.

The higher the skill progress, the higher the effect.

Intuition

Grants a slight chance of changing the shell type without having to reload again.

Doesn't work with autoloaders. Works also while reloading.

Jack of All Trades

Reduces the performance penalty of wounded crew members.

Mentor

Increases the Crew XP gained for each member apart from the commander.
