After the AMX 50 100, the next vehicle is fairly similar overall, yet there are a couple of things that you need to adjust to when going for this Tier IX heavy tank. One would be the lower potential damage per magazine, which is balanced out by other improvements.

Gameplay

Similar to the AMX 50 100, this vehicle cannot rely on its armour at all. It has been improved slightly though, which grants protection from most HE shells that are fired at you. It has also grown in size and despite that, the mobility has improved – not so much the acceleration but the top speed. This will allow you to be even more flexible than before.

Thanks to the surprisingly good gun depression angle, you can hide large parts of your vehicle behind terrain.

The top armament is the 120 mm SA 46 gun. You'll immediately see that the clip size is reduced to four, compared to the 6-round magazine of the 100 mm gun. However, other aspects have seen significant improvements to make up for it. This includes a higher damage per shot and much better magazine reload time. Even the gun handling doesn't feel as awkward anymore. Pay attention to two details: the long reload time (shells within the clip), and the aiming time that needs to be improved with the respective equipment.

This French heavy tank requires an opportunistic playstyle. Check the minimap frequently for lone targets you can take out. Don't be greedy: it's better to reload the entire magazine than forcibly trying to fire all four shells and take too much damage in return. Before engaging, keep yourself an escape route open; once your magazine is empty, you better get out of there.

As mentioned before, the aiming time is a major disadvantage. Luckily, you can counter that with the pieces of equipment above. Those pieces of equipment will not only reduce the aiming time but also the dispersion. Improved Ventilation will give a bonus to a variety of parameters, especially gun performance.

Keep in mind that tanks with a conventional autoloader cannot mount a Tank Gun Rammer.
