With the AMX 50 100, you'll tap into the French heavy tank autoloader gameplay: high speed, massive burst potential, but low survivability. When going for this line, you'll need to change your play style to be more opportunistic, as that will decide if you're the punisher or the punished.

Gameplay

Unlike previous vehicles, there isn't much armour to speak of at all, so leading the charge will often result in a ticket back to the Garage. It also doesn't work as a conventional support vehicle. French autoloaders require a completely different approach. What you need to acquire is a sense of timing and risk-taking, as the damage of your 6-round clip can potentially destroy any Tier VIII, and even many Tier IX vehicles.

Despite its size, the AMX 50 100 is fairly quick. Keep your eye on the minimap and try to find single targets that you can take out of the game. As mentioned before, your armour won't really protect you from anything, so engaging with the enemy is always about trading damage. It's on you to evaluate the situation and take the risk – either you'll end up with a "fair trade", or one of the worst in history.

Let's take a quick look at its 100 mm SA47 gun and its autoloader. With 6 rounds, you can miss one shell and still have enough to finish the job. The penetration is high enough to punch through high-tier heavy tanks with ease. Obviously, such firepower comes with some drawbacks. Number one: to unload your entire magazine, you need to expose yourself for almost 15 seconds – enough time for the enemy to retaliate. Also, the accuracy, aiming time, and stabilisation are all mediocre at best. Taking out opponents from longer distances requires good aim and even better luck. You are most effective at close range.

Make sure you have an escape route for when your magazine is empty as its reload time is extremely high.

Because of the high dispersion and aiming time, you need to counteract with the appropriate equipment. Each piece will increase your gun's reliability, ensuring that more shots land where they're supposed to.

Keep in mind that tanks with a conventional autoloader cannot mount a Tank Gun Rammer.
