At the top of the Soviet tank destroyer branch, you'll find the Object 268 - not to be confused with the Version 4. It takes the qualities of the previous vehicles, and brings both improvements and its own gameplay twists. Let's have a look at this top-tier tank.
Gameplay
With the Object 268, you receive a good survivability upgrade. The armour thickness is generally greater, even though it doesn't have the big and strong gun mantlet like the Object 704. It's enough to protect you from weaker opponents, yet Tier X vehicles will usually have no problem penetrating your vehicle. Also, there is a weak-armoured rangefinder on the superstructure, which can be exploited by your enemies. So no, you cannot lead the charge.
It also features good mobility, almost on par with medium tanks. This will allow you to take important positions fast. Use this to change flanks, if needed, or change positions to keep up with the flow of the battle. Play as a sniper in the early stages of the battle, taking shots here and there. Mind the low view range; you either need to improve it with the respective pieces of equipment or rely on others to spot them for you. Later, you can play more aggressively, trading shots to finish off your opponents.
Its gun is the 152 mm M-64, which is similar to the previous weapons of the ISU-152 and the Object 704. The biggest differences now are the decent accuracy and aiming time, allowing you to hit your targets more reliably. There have been other minor improvements to it, such as more penetration – now it's one of the highest values in the game – and reload speed.

Depending on your playstyle, you can either go for a Binocular Telescope to get a much higher view range or Improved Ventilation in case you prefer a small bonus to a wide variety of combat parameters. The Tank Gun Rammer will increase your potential damage per minute, and the Enhanced Gun Laying Drive speeds up the aiming to make the gun more comfortable to use.

This choice of crew skills is with the assumption you play the Object 268 aggressively, which is why we chose Repair as the first skill. However, if you prefer long-range engagements and the view range setup above, choose Concealment instead. The following skills make it easier to aim and improve the tank's characteristics in general.
Adrenaline Rush
Decreases the gun reload time by 10% if your vehicle's HP drops below 10%.
