What is the LCT 7074?
The LCT 7074 is the only known surviving Landing Craft Tank in the U.K. that participated in D-Day. Built to carry tanks directly onto the beaches of Normandy, these unique machines played a crucial role in the success of Operation Overlord. After years of service and subsequent decay, the ship was meticulously restored to its former glory and a vital piece of WWII history was thus preserved.
