Vehicle Description

A Soviet medium tank with impressive frontal protection of both its hull and turret, and even higher effective values due to angled armor plates. Despite its size, the ST-66 also has decent mobility. Its 100 mm gun has a respectable DPM and high damage per shot, as well as good base aiming time and decent armor penetration.

Historical Reference

Blueprints for the NST (noviy sredniy tank or new medium tank) were completed in 1966. One distinctive feature of the vehicle was its four-loop chassis with a drive for each loop. The transmission allowed the amount of power transferred to each track loop to be regulated. The project remained in blueprints.
