Improving on the familiar Chinese TD formula, the PTZ-78 boasts an impressive gun with high damage per shot, as well as reliable armor. But it really stands out with its unique boosters, which make this vehicle very nimble for its weight. Thus, the PTZ-78 is fearsome in narrow streets as well as on open fields.
After work on the Chinese BZ-79 tank ended, the military decided to use the existing designs to create a heavy tank destroyer. The project retained the key technical solutions: an opposed-piston engine and liquid jet boosters. A cheaper version with a modified V-shaped 12-cylinder diesel engine and solid-fuel packages from unguided rockets was also developed. By the early 1980s, a blueprint was ready, but the vehicle was never built since second-generation anti-tank missiles turned out to be a cheaper and more effective solution.

Sequential Rocket Thrusters
Solid-fuel thrusters that boost acceleration, mobility, and maneuverability for several seconds. The left and right thrusters can work independently of each other for faster hull traverse, and do not restrict reverse capability.
UPGRADES
Upgrades are a unique mechanic for Tier XI vehicles that allow you to further enhance a vehicle's characteristics.
This vehicle has the ability to earn bonds in certain game modes.
Characteristics are specified for vehicles with crews trained to 100%.
