Common Test 1: List of Changes

Expand

Main Changes

Onslaught Light

  • Resources for the Onslaught Light mode have been added.
  • New decals have been added as rewards.
  • The list of unavailable vehicles has been updated.
  • Role Skills have been adjusted for the mode in Tier VIII vehicles.
  • Minor changes have been made to maps.

Crucible

  • A new feature has been added: the Crucible, which tests players with series of missions that offer valuable rewards.
  • Each series consists of consecutive missions, with the main reward granted for completing the final mission. Every mission in a series is completed in a single battle.
  • Players can activate one Crucible series at a time. Once activated, it cannot be paused.
  • Series of missions are available for a limited time and are replaced periodically. Activated series that are expired or incomplete count as failed. Some series can be completed once, while others are repeatable.
  • Each series includes a number of shields. Failing a mission destroys one shield, and the final mission must be completed before all shields are lost.
  • Crucible missions can only be completed in Random Battles in Tier VI–XI vehicles.

Frontline

  • Platoons for Frontline can now no longer be formed with more than one autocannon vehicle, including Czech autocannon light tanks and American autocannon medium tanks. This only affects Platoon formation in the Garage: Platoon members can select vehicles without any restrictions once they enter battle.
  • The visuals on the Combat Reserves screen have been reworked.

Last Stand: Terra Nord

  • The Last Stand: Terra Nord event has been added on the Nordskar map.
  • The event features two new enemies: Bastion and Archer.
  • The boss defeat sequence has been updated: the boss now triggers warning, attack preparation, and ATLAS destruction events before the battle ends in defeat.
  • Improvements have been made to social features: in-battle voice chat and Garage chats for each difficulty have been added, and the battle communication menu has been updated.
  • Changes have been made to Tactical Devices:
    • Turbocharger duration has been increased from 5 s to 6 s
    • Turbocharger reverse speed penalty has been reduced from 40 km/h to 20 km/h
    • Turbocharger reload time has been reduced from 8 s to 3 s
    • Energy Shield duration has been increased from 7 s to 10 s
    • Stun Shot duration has been increased from 7 s to 12 s
  • A new set of 3D attachments has been added to the event rewards.
  • The "Cause damage to Obelisks" daily mission has been removed.

Changes to System Requirements

To ensure the game's continued development and optimal performance for as many players as possible, the system requirements from Update 2.3.1 will be:

  • Minimum:
    • CPU: Intel Core i5-3330 or AMD FX-6300 (screen resolution 1280x768)
    • GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 270 (screen resolution 1280x768)
    • RAM: 8 GB
    • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
    • Free disk space: 70 GB
  • Recommended:
    • CPU: Intel Core i3-9100F or AMD Ryzen 3 3100
    • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 580
    • RAM: 16 GB
    • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
    • Free disk space: 120 GB

After the update, players whose hardware met the previous minimum system requirements will still be able to run the game. However, going forward, we will no longer be able to fully guarantee game functionality and performance for players whose hardware does not meet the new minimum requirements.

Commanders,

The Update 2.3.1 Common Test has arrived, bringing the Crucible system, plus new launches for Last Stand, Onslaught Light, and Frontline. Read on for the details!

Crucible

  • The new Crucible system puts players' skills to the test in sets of missions with varying complexity and valuable (sometimes unique) rewards. The mission sets themselves have difficulty grades: Fighter, Elite, and Ace.
  • Crucible sets may have a varying number of consecutive missions (each with its own reward), with the final mission offering the main reward. Every mission is completed in a single battle (and is considered done when that battle ends, not when its conditions are met during the battle). There are no missions to be completed over the course of several battles.
  • Crucible mission sets are accepted (activated manually). A Crucible mission set cannot be paused, adding to the challenge. The first try is free, with extra attempts unlocked for in-game currency. A player can only be on a single Crucible mission set at any given moment.
  • Crucible mission sets are available for a certain period, after which they are replaced with new ones for all players. If not completed before its expiration date, a mission set is considered failed. Some mission sets can be completed only once, while others can be done multiple times.
  • Each Crucible mission set comes with a number of Shields providing "failure insurance": If the player fails to meet a mission's conditions, one Shield is destroyed. To complete a mission set, you need to succeed with its final mission before you run out of Shields.
  • Crucible missions can only be completed in Random Battles in Tier VI–XI vehicles.
The structure, requirements, rewards, and other values related to the mission sets used during the Common Test are not final, as they were designed to test the Crucible system.

Last Stand

The ever-popular Last Stand mode returns—with Obelisks, a 10-Stage progression, and a set of improvements, including:

  • A new event map based on Nordskar from Random Battles
  • Improved echo tank performance
  • New enemy types: Archer and Bastion
  • Event voice chat (enabled by default)
  • Refined Platoon partners search
  • Command Wheel (press T to activate): New event-related commands

Onslaught Light

The Tier VIII version of Onslaught returns, offering the same intensity of action with lower stakes.

  • Base Onslaught features: 7v7 battles on modified maps, Tactical and Role Skills.
  • Special Light flavor: Played in researchable or Tier VIII Premium vehicles (except arty and a few excluded ones of other types), with no pre-battle vehicle ban feature, no rank system, and no connection to the Onslaught Season/Year progression or statistics.

The new Onslaught Light launch will have its own progression, limited to this event and offering placeholder rewards in the Common Test.

Frontline

The 30v30 tactical action for Tier VIII vehicles, featuring colossal maps, respawns, and Combat Reserves, will return with the familiar ruleset.
