Discover the VIII Panther II : a German tank prototype from World War II that never entered mass production but aimed to address perceived shortfalls in the Panther's design. In the turbulent years leading up to the war, Germany embarked on a quest for the ultimate tank design, and one of the key contenders was this war machine.

This ambitious undertaking aimed to promote production efficiency by sharing components with the VIII Tiger II , including road wheels, steering gear, powertrain, and transmission. While only a prototype hull was completed, it showcased notable improvements, such as a 10 cm thick front plate sloped at 55 degrees, enhancing protection compared to the regular Panther's 8 cm armor. The side armor was bolstered to 6 cm, featuring towing holes instead of traditional hooks.
