Commanders!
While the legendary Blitzträger auf E 110 may be the star of The Waffenträger: Legacy, the mode also features two exciting brand-new vehicles! The IX FV4201 Chieftain Proto and VIII KV-4 KTTS are epic additions to the battlefield, and until October 10 at 11:00 CEST (UTC+2), you will have the chance to add them both to your arsenal.
Check out our guide to the two brand-new Premium vehicles below, pick up tips and tricks for storming to success with them, and learn how you can add them to your collection.
FV4201 Chieftain Proto
The IX FV4201 Chieftain Proto is a multi-role heavy with an incredibly tough turret and decent frontal armor, great gun depression, and a respectable 400 HP of alpha damage shot. Like its Tier X brother in arms, this heavy boasts an impressive mix of characteristics, allowing it to dominate positional battles or win one-on-one duels. Depending on the situation, it can lead the attack and carry the team, absorbing enemy shells, or it can perform as a powerful support vehicle, assisting medium tanks.
Firepower
The 120 mm gun has its pros and cons, but its standard APCR and special APCR shells are very reliable, boasting excellent 262 mm and 310 mm penetration, respectively. With -10 degrees of gun depression and 59 rounds to draw upon, it is flexible and can continue to make an impact long into the battle. Its 2,000 DPM is decent for its class and tier, while its 400/400/515 HP of damage per shot will be consequential to most opponents. It is worth accounting for the tank's poorer dispersion and aiming time when fighting long-range or trying snapshots, but its strong shell velocity can help in these situations.
Survivability
The main defense of the tank's acceptable 1,800 HP is its strong 350/110/35 mm turret. The hull armor is thin, but the front is well-angled and does a good job of deflecting incoming shots. In comparison, the lower plate is very weak, and the prominent cupola and thin turret roof are further weak spots in need of careful protection. The 390 m view range is nothing special, but it does offer some additional survivability.
Mobility
With a 40 km/h top speed, its mobility is on par with similar vehicles, and thanks to decent terrain resistance, it can reach this speed on rougher surfaces. This is useful for exploiting the vehicle's flexibility and having a presence, regardless of where the battle is taking place.

KV-4 KTTS
The VIII KV-4 KTTS boasts a rear-mounted turret and a striking similarity to the KV-4 heavy tank. The tank destroyer's low maneuverability and mediocre mobility are counterbalanced by well-sloped frontal armor that makes it difficult to damage. It is armed with a 107 mm high-penetration gun that deals 360 HP of damage per shot and has a reload time of under nine seconds. With its rear-mounted turret and 90-degree gun traverse limits (45 degrees to either side), it can successfully use sidescraping tactics at the most effective angles from both cover and open terrain.
Firepower
The rear-mounted 107 mm gun boasts 2,571 DPM, which is the 9th highest of Tier VIII tank destroyers. It can deal 360/360/420 HP of damage per shot with 227/289/62 mm of penetration, giving it a threatening, if not spectacular, offensive thrust. Due to the gun's position, it cannot be lowered further than 5 degrees, but it does have an excellent 90-degree firing arc. This is useful for picking less mobile or closer targets to avoid relying on the gun's unexceptional accuracy, while its 90-shell capacity encourages blind firing and doesn't punish missed shots.
Survivability
Only five Tier VIII tank destroyers have higher than the KV-4 KTTS' admirable 1,400 HP. However, its 350 m view range is among the worst of its peers. While the small turret atop the strong superstructure looks like another weakness, it is actually quite well armored. The hull's thickest section is 200 mm strong, while the frontal armor is generally reliable and the gun mantlet has 250-mm plates. The vehicle's most vulnerable spots include the sides of the turret, the roof, and the curved section of the front armor plate.
Mobility
Unsurprisingly given the size and thick armor, the vehicle's top speed is only 35 km/h, and its traverse speed is also a slow 24 deg/sec. The wide gun arc compensates for this, but positioning should, nevertheless, be a careful consideration in this destroyer.
