Summer, Tanks, and Football!

World of Tanks and football rolled into one! This month is going to be really hot as the three largest virtual tank football stadiums fill with the roar of engines, the clutter of armour, and the uncontainable strive to win. New stadiums, new opportunities, and good old tank football awaits you.

Rules and Regulations

Rules

A match continues until one of the teams scores 3 goals. The maximum duration of the match is 7 minutes. If full-time (7 minutes) does not produce a winner, teams go to extra time. In extra time, a team may win by scoring a golden goal or by earning more control points (by keeping the ball on the enemy team’s side of the pitch). The first team that earns 100 control points, or that earns more control points by the end of extra time, wins the game.

Sport Facilities 

The special T-62A SPORT vehicle, together with a slot, will be added to players’ accounts. The crew will consist of one member only. You can also transfer Soviet medium tank commanders to this vehicle without retraining them. The ammunition of the T-62A SPORT is limited to 70 shells! Be attentive and use your shells wisely. Just like before, you cannot destroy or damage the T-62A SPORT in any way except for destroying its tracks. Additional equipment, consumables, and unique customisation elements may be mounted on and applied to the vehicle. The tank is also equipped with a new consumable—Turbocharger—which makes the vehicle significantly faster for a limited period of time. Special sports camouflages and flags of European footballing countries, that can be applied to the T-62A SPORT, were added to the game specifically for the football event.

A unique shell-proof ball was created for the event. It was designed under a top secret military program for withstanding enormous pressure, fire, collisions with armoured vehicles, etc. Nobody knows its breaking point...

For facilitating navigation during a match, the ball position indicator was added. The projection of the ball will be displayed on the pitch.

Teams

A team consists of three T-62A SPORT tanks. Teams may be assembled from random players or comprise special football platoons (Football Teams) of two to three players.

Sports Infrastructure 

Tank football battles will take place on three new stadiums tailored to this sport. The most modern arenas—Himmelsdorf Arena, Old Tankford, and Stade Eiffel—will take into account all peculiarities of the event. We analysed the experience of holding previous events and introduced necessary adjustments to the arena design. Players will be able to actively fight near the edges of the map and use the implemented changes to perform various tactical manoeuvres.

Commemorative Tokens

Players who will participate in the Tank Football 2016 event will have a chance to earn unique awards.

Tank Football Tournament 2016

During the football event, players will have an opportunity to test their might and participate in the tank football tournament.

Players who will take part in the tournament will compete for the right to represent the EU region at the international stage of the event and face the best CIS tank football teams. Teams that place high in the competition will receive money prizes!

	Name: Football Player 2016 Win a football match in the T-62A SPORT. Only the longest series of victories in a row is counted. A series is broken by a defeat. Awarded to all members of a victorious team during the special football event.
	Name: Hat Trick Score at least 3 goals in one match.

What Happens to the T-62A SPORT After the Event Ends?

1. The T-62A SPORT is removed together with the slot.

2. The crew is sent to the Barracks and retrained for the MS-1.

3. All earned experience is transferred to the MS-1.

4. Modules and equipment (except for the Turbocharger) are sent to the Depot. The Turbocharger is removed.

5. All customisation elements (camouflages and Inscriptions/Emblems) for the T-62A SPORT are removed.
