gamescom 2012 Schedule Announced!
gamescom 2012 in Cologne is now less than a week away, taking place from the 16th until the 19th of August. We’re in the last stages of preparation to be ready for the thousands of eager fans and players that’ll be descending upon our booth in a few days’ time.
Of course, there’ll be extensive coverage of all the events at the show through our very own news portal and forums. In addition, this year for the first time ever, we’ll have a Live Stream running throughout the event from our booth at the gamescom, so that you don’t have to miss a second of what will be going down on stage.
No matter how you choose to follow the gamescom: There is no time to waste. Prepare now for this massive event! If you haven’t done so already, there is still time to buy your ticket online from the official gamescom website.
We’ll be bringing it big time at gamescom, sparing no cost to deliver you the experience of a lifetime: From demos to developer insights, interviews with the best eSports players in the world, to live contests and stage performances – our booth at gamescom 2012 will be filled to the rafters with events that everybody will be talking about.
However, the biggest events of them all are going to be the games themselves. Not only will we be showing you presentations on our big screen, but you can also play both of our featured titles yourself on one of more than 40 workstations! Come roll out on the battlefields and play World of Tanks whilst visiting our stand. Or fly away with us and get your first live hands-on experience with World of Warplanes, playable for each and every one who’ll be visiting our booth –you don’t even need to have a beta account to play!
If you’re an eSports fan then we’ve got you covered as well! As announced previously, the finals of the German WCG Qualifiers for World of Tanks will be happening live on August 16th at 15:00 CEST (13:00 GMT) with two final teams competing for a spot to represent their country at the World Cyber Games in Kunshan, China. Come cheer for our finalists Odem Mortis – Whitebeard [OM] or Wild 4 eSports! [W4sp] to see who of them will be able to take home the trophy and some more appealing prizes: The winners will be rewarded with a Samsung NP530U3C notebook, whilst the runner-ups will receive a Samsung Galaxy S3 mobile phone each! With this much on the line, we’re sure that it’ll be a battle for the record books. Of course you’ll be able to follow this great event online as well through our dedicated tournament live stream.
Feeling pumped yet? There’s more! Alongside the events on the trade fair ground, we’ll also be organizing multiple community events that’ll be taking place throughout the week. Events such as an awesome Community Party which will bring together some of our lucky fans who were selected to celebrate with us for a fun evening of chatting, drinking and partying!
Or show your creativity by participating in our Wargaming Costume Contest scheduled for the Sunday. Show off your costume to the crowd and the millions of fans watching at home and claim your fame whilst winning great prizes!

Live Demo: World of Tanks – Come see World of Tanks on the big screen in our live gameplay demo!
Stage Demo: World of Warplanes – Be one of the first to see World of Warplanes in action on the big screen! We’ll be showing off the game, talking about features and giving you a live tour through the current development stage.
eSports Q&A – Our very own eSports manager greets top players from all around the world to talk about competitive gaming, strategy and PvP gameplay in World of Tanks.
Military Specialist Q&A – Our military consultant Richard “The_Challenger” Cutland will be on stage for an interesting Q&A session in which he will answer player questions about World of Tanks and how it compares to tank warfare in real life.
Developer Q&A – Time for a chat with our developers! Our game designers, visual artists and programmers share their insights on the development process of Wargaming games. Join us for an informative Q&A session and be the first to get the scoop of what’s next in World of Tanks or World of Warplanes!
Guess What Competition Live! – If you’re a fan of the regular Guess What contest on our website, you’ll love our live rendition of this exciting contest on stage at the gamescom 2012. Participate – either on the spot or through our Live Stream – and stand the chance to win great prizes!
Creation of a Warplane – Our Wargaming Creative Lead Team shows you step by step how we create the 3D-models of warplanes for our game live on stage! Fancy seeing something new? Then come take a look!
