Commanders,
Maintaining a fair, competitive, and enjoyable World of Tanks environment always remains our top priority. We continuously monitor gameplay and take decisive action against those who break the rules.
With the release of Update 2.1.1, we are introducing not only brand-new American medium tanks with Thermal Overheat Control Autocannon mechanics, but also important updates to our Fair Play Policy.
Prohibited Mods Affecting Shooting Control
Update 2.1.1 introduces new autocannon mechanics, including the heat management system. Because of this, we are expanding the list of prohibited modifications, effective from the date of this announcement.
What Is Now Prohibited
- Any mods, scripts, or other forms of automation that block or release firing input automatically in order to optimize gun effectiveness.
- This also includes mouse or keyboard macros that replicate the same behavior.
These tools break the intended gameplay design and provide an unfair advantage. Their use violates the Fair Play Policy and will result in penalties.
Some mods that affect shooting control (including SafeShot), which were previously allowed when used with standard guns, now fall into a gray area under the updated Fair Play Policy.
We understand that many players have used these mods for regular guns without the intention of gaining an unfair advantage. However, going forward, such mods will be considered prohibited.
To ensure consistency and fairness, we are providing a grace period for all players who currently use them. We strongly recommend reviewing your installed mods and removing any that affect shooting control or automate firing behavior before the release of the next Update 2.2. After that point, the use of such mods will result in penalties.
We encourage everyone to stay informed by reviewing our Fair Play Policy and understanding the consequences of violating it.
If you use mods, please be mindful when installing them and make sure they do not fall under prohibited categories. For a safer experience, we recommend using the official World of Tanks Mod Hub, which offers a wide selection of verified mods and helps reduce the risk of installing disallowed modifications.
Action Against Cheaters
Alongside this policy update, we continue our routine and targeted enforcement against cheating behavior of all kinds. In our most recent wave, we have taken action against players using prohibited software and cheats that directly impact fair gameplay:
- 5 067 accounts have received a first warning and a seven-day ban across the EU servers.
- 803 accounts have been permanently banned across the EU servers for repeated use of cheats.
Action Against Rigged Battles
Our fight against rigged battles also continues without compromise. In our most recent ban wave, we have enacted the following:
- 355 riggers banned across the EU servers
All bans for riggers are permanent. We leave no room for error—our team carefully checks every suspicious situation. If a player is banned or penalized, it's because we have 100% verified proof.
What Are Rigged Battles?
ExpandRigged battles are matches where players break the rules by creating unfair conditions to gain in-game advantages—such as farming easy damage, boosting stats, or earning rare awards.
This kind of behavior breaks the rules and ruins the experience for players who want to play fair and follow the rules. That's why rigging leads to permanent bans with no prior warning from our side.
Enjoy Brand-New Tanks and Play Fair!
Update 2.1.1 brings exciting new gameplay features, but fair play always comes first. We will continue to update our policies alongside new mechanics and take action against anyone attempting to exploit them.
Respect the rules and help keep World of Tanks enjoyable for everyone!
