An experimental new feature is coming with Update 2.2.1 in late April! See popular early-battle routes for your vehicle directly on the minimap.
Battle Route Tips highlight popular early-battle routes on the minimap, helping you understand how battles usually unfold at the start. The zones appear during the countdown and the first minutes of the battle, showing the directions players most commonly take in your chosen vehicle.
This is the first iteration of the feature. It will be improved based on your feedback. Currently, zones are calculated separately for the following vehicle role, tier, and map:
You may see four types of popular zones on the minimap—check them out below.
Remember that these zones reflect global player data across all regions. For new or reworked maps, there may not be enough data yet. In these cases, zones are temporarily created by level designers based on the intended map flow. As more data is collected, they will be replaced with zones generated from actual player behavior.
Frontline areas where heavily armored vehicles often engage in direct combat.
Positions suitable for concealed attacks and long-range fire.
Flexible areas that allow different approaches depending on how the battle develops.
Typical firing positions used by SPGs to support their team.
Battle Route Tips are automatically enabled for commanders who haven't played for a while starting with Update 2.2.1. You can also turn the feature on or off at any time in Settings:
Settings → Tips → Enable combat zones on minimap
