On a very fresh and cold morning in Hämeenlinna we took a short trip to the amazing Panssarimuseo in Finland to meet up with players from our Finnish community and beyond to talk tanks!
Representing Wargaming for this amazing event was Community Manager Ectar, Community Coordinator Erissa, World of Tanks Product Specialist Decept1on along with Military Specialists The_Challenger and Hunter1911. First order of the day was giving the first 150 sign-ups their goodie bags and museum entry badges.
Throughout the day players were able to participate in guided tours and presentations on vehicles like the T-34, Stug III and T-72. There was also the opportunity for players to have a ride in one of two BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles. Transport to these vehicles was provided by an American M2 Halftrack!
To make this even more memorable, there were two special live demonstrations of a Stug III. It drew quite a spectacular crowd for the first demo and the second demo was even busier as The_Challenger was invited to hand crank start the Stug III.
When the tank destroyer started there was a huge cheer from the crowd!
We would like to thank all of our players who came along for the visit and especially to all of the staff at Parola who helped make the event such a success. It was a fantastic turn out and we're already looking forward to the next opportunity to visit Finland in warmer weather and beat those already spectacular visitor numbers!
We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and got home safely. More pictures can be found in our Flickr album found here or in the gallery below:
Roll out, Commanders!
