With the WoT 1.0 update and its spectacular new graphics approaching, we have been looking for new ways to drive our tanks into even more beautiful sceneries. The World of Tanks Augmented Reality app allows you to do just that and is now officially available for free via Google Play and the iOS App Store!

How does it work?

Bring iconic World of Tanks vehicles into the real world around you. From gigantic life-size to desk-size, you can watch the T-44-100 battle it out with the Tiger I, with a surprise aerial cameo as well. You can also take your own photos and short videos to share with your friends.

We have worked in close collaboration with Google. The WoT AR app uses the new ARCore technology, which allows developers to build augmented reality apps for Android. ARCore is supported by over 100 million Android devices, including all Google Pixel devices, Samsung Galaxy Note8/S8+/S8/S7/S7 Edge, Asus Zenfone AR, LG V30/V30+ and OnePlus 5.

The app is also compatible with all the following iOS devices: iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone, iPad Pro, iPad 5.

The two download buttons above only work for mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets.

Attention: An issue has been detected with the Play Store in the case of Android devices, which we have no control over. We are working with Google to resolve said issue as soon as possible.

#WOTAR photo & video contest

Once you have installed the app on your device, share your best photos and videos on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WOTAR to participate in the contest. We will pick the 30 most creative photos and videos, so get crazy and show us the best you've got! Each of the 30 winners will receive a T-44-100, a Soviet Tier VIII Premium medium tank.

How to take part:

Post a photo or video you took from the World of Tanks AR app on Twitter or Instagram
Use the hashtag #WOTAR
Mention your in-game nickname and the server you play on in the messaging of your post. Example: I am WoTplayer_1 and I play on the EU server.

You can review the rules of the contest and see your submission once it's approved by the Wargaming Community Team on the official contest page.
