What Are Twitch Drops?

Twitch Drops are an easy way to earn rare and valuable rewards by watching selected World of Tanks and content creator streams on Twitch.tv.

Mystery Drops are a new kind of Drop that bring greater variety to your loot. As with Regular Drops, you are guaranteed a reward, but it will be a random item from the given selection.

Join us on the official English, German, and Polish World of Tanks Twitch channels, or tune in to some great content creators who also occasionally have Drops enabled. We typically stream every day, from Monday to Friday, with occasional Twitch Drops up for grabs.

What Are Twitch Drops?

Twitch Drops are in-game rewards credited to those who tune in to special Twitch streams. To be eligible, your Wargaming.net and Twitch accounts must be linked.

Currently, there are two types of Twitch Drop:

  1. Regular Drops
  2. Mystery Drops

Claim them within 24 hours of the end of the campaign by clicking the button in the pop-up notification in the stream interface or in your personal Twitch Inventory. If you do not take any action, the Drop reward will disappear 24 hours after the campaign ends.

What are the different types of Drops?

You are guaranteed a reward any time you watch a stream with Drops enabled for the set watch time.

Regular Drops guarantee you a pre-selected item. Some items, such as special commanders and 3D styles, are much more valuable than other available items. Therefore, you may be required to watch for longer to get certain Drops.

Mystery Drops guarantee you a random item from the given selection. High-value items, such as tanks, have a lower probability of dropping than more common items. Once you have earned a Mystery Drop, you can find out which item you received and claim it by logging in to the game.

Do I need Twitch Prime/Prime Gaming to receive Twitch Drops?

No, a Prime Gaming membership (Twitch Prime) is not required to receive Twitch Drops.

Players with Prime Gaming memberships can redeem various in-game items each month, but that isn't connected to Twitch Drops. For more information on Prime Gaming, visit the World of Tanks Prime Gaming page.

How can I tell if a streamer has Drops enabled?

You can see when a Drops campaign is available on a channel in the Browse category or channel pages by looking for the drops-enabled tag. You can also filter by the Drops Enabled tag when viewing a category page. A chatbox confirmation that the streamer has active Twitch Drops running looks like this:

Located in the chatbox. This confirms that the streamer has active Twitch Drops running.

How do I know if I've received a Drop?

You must hit the "Claim" button in the Twitch interface.

A handy progress bar fills up as time passes, allowing you to track exactly how long you need to watch a stream in order to get the next Drop. Once the bar is filled, you will get a notification right in your browser with a button to claim the Drop reward. The image below shows a notification that the Drop conditions have been fulfilled and a new claim is available:

Once you have claimed the Drop on Twitch, you will receive an in-game notification in the lower-right part of your screen in the Garage. If you are already in the game, you might have to log out of the game and then back in to receive the notification and the Drop. You can check your progress at any time by opening up the profile menu and looking under the Drops menu item while you are on a channel or by visiting your personal Twitch Inventory. See the image below:

Make sure you claim the Drop within 24 hours of the end of the campaign. If you do not take any action, the Drop reward will disappear 24 hours after the campaign ends. When you receive a Drop, you may be prompted to share your claimed Drops in the chat, like in the image below:

How can I fix a Drop issue?

If you have not received a guaranteed Regular or Mystery Drop after accumulating enough watch time, try the following solution to fix a potential connection issue.

  1. Log in to your Wargaming Account.
  2. Open Account Management.
  3. Unlink your Wargaming account from Twitch via the button.
  4. Log out of your Wargaming account.
  5. Log in to your Twitch account.
  6. Open Settings.
  7. Switch to Connections.
  8. Disconnect from Wargaming.net.
  9. Log out of your Twitch account.
  10. Log in to the Wargaming account that should be linked to Twitch.
  11. Open Account Management.
  12. Reestablish the link to Twitch via the button.
  13. Log back in to your Twitch account.
  14. Open the Connections tab and check that the accounts are once again linked.

After this, the connection should be fixed, and you should receive guaranteed Drops after the set watch time.

Can I get Twitch Drops from watching past (recorded) broadcasts?

No. Progress towards earning Twitch Drops is only taken into account when watching LIVE broadcasts. After fulfilling the Twitch Drop requirements on a livestream, you must claim the Drop within 24 hours of the end of the campaign by clicking the button in the pop-up notification in the stream interface or in your personal Twitch Inventory.

Will there be more opportunities to get Twitch Drops?

Keep an eye out for announcements on the portal.

How many Twitch Drops can I get?

You can only get each Drop once per account unless stated otherwise.

With Mystery Drops, you will only receive one item from the given selection.

I think I received a Drop, so why can't I see the item in my game account?

Please log out, then back in to the game. If the issue persists, check the following:
