After getting used to the ISU-152 on Tier VIII, the Object 704 is like its predecessor in terms of gameplay. Based on the hull of the IS-3 heavy tank, it comes with some very useful improvements. This will make playing this tank much more comfortable. So what is this guy capable of?

Gameplay

Compared to the previous vehicle, the Object 704 receives a noticeable armour upgrade, and while you still can't, and shouldn't, take on heavy tanks upfront, there is one infamous spot at its front: we are talking about the gun mantlet, jokingly referred to as "a black hole" by players. Try and use it to take some poorly aimed shots. Keep in mind it's more on the right side, so this approach is somewhat limited.

Time to check out its powerful 152 mm BL-10. While the damage is as great as ever, the penetration got slightly higher – now you're a real threat to any vehicle in the game. Like the ISU-152, the accuracy and aiming time are still weak but got better in comparison to the Tier VIII tank destroyer. The reload time has been reduced as well.

We suggest you play as a sniper at the beginning, despite the rather inaccurate Soviet guns. You will be safer from enemy fire while dishing out huge blows once in a while. Once the battle has progressed further and a fair number of vehicles has been taken out of the battle, you can play more aggressively, trading shots and finishing off enemy tanks. 

The Object 704 way look clunky and cumbersome, but its mobility is surprisingly good. Use it to change positions once in a while, don't be static.

Depending on your playstyle, you can either go for a Binocular Telescope to get a much higher view range or for Improved Ventilation in case you prefer a small bonus to a wide variety of combat parameters. The Tank Gun Rammer will increase your potential damage per minute and the Enhanced Gun Laying Drive speeds up the aiming time, which is highly required to make this gun work.

However, if you prefer long-range engagements and the view range setup above, choose Concealment instead. Adrenaline Rush

Decreases the gun reload time by 10% if your vehicle's HP drops below 10%.

Increases the traverse speed of your vehicle.

Concealment

Increases the camouflage value of your vehicle.

Controlled Impact

Increases the ramming damage dealt and decreases damage taken by ramming.

Deadeye

Increases the chance of landing a critical hit.

Works only if the skill progress has reached 100%.

Designated Target

Keeps targetes vehicles visible for two more seconds.

Eagle Eye

Allows you to identify damaged/destroyed modules as well as injured crew members of an enemy vehicle by hovering your mouse over it for several seconds.

Firefighting

Intuition

Grants a slight chance of changing the shell type without having to reload again.
