At the top of the Chinese heavy tank line, you'll find the 113 (or the WZ-111 model 5A). This vehicle may be also a heavy-medium tank hybrid, but it's rather different from the previous vehicles, especially the WZ-111 model 1-4. Let's have a closer look at what this top-tier Chinese is made of!

Gameplay

The first thing you'll notice is that the turret is located in the centre of the vehicle. Unlike its predecessor, the 113 finally boasts strong armour again, both at the hull and turret. The upper frontal plate is capable of bouncing a fair amount of shots, thanks to its favourable slope, and even without having a pike nose. Pay attention to the lower frontal plate as this is the main weak spot of this Chinese tank – do your best to keep it hidden! The side armour can be used to side-scrape but it's quite easy to overdo it and take unnecessary damage, so be careful.

This heavy tank is fairly versatile as its combat parameters allow it to take different roles on the battlefield, whatever the situation requires. You are not bound to playing as a heavy tank exclusively, use the 113's good mobility to support your medium tanks if you see a good opportunity. There you can use your good armour and strong gun to your advantage, but make sure to have teammates cover you as you can be flanked easily.

If possible, avoid fighting in hilly terrain. The gun depression value is too low to allow you to play the 113 effectively there.

Speaking of the gun: remember the 130 mm gun used by the WZ-111 model 1-4? The 113 actually sacrifices damage per shot in favour of a better rate of fire, accuracy, and aiming time. Trading shots with weaker opponents won't be that easy any more, however, you can now count on a much higher damage per minute. Try to learn the damage values and the reload time of vehicles you face to see when you can either use your DPM or damage per shot to your advantage.

The best choice for this vehicle is similar to the ones used by previous vehicles, so if you sold them, you can re-use their pieces of equipment. It aims to increase your potential damage per minute and make your gun more reliable by reducing the aiming time as well as dispersion penalties.

As usual, focus on Repair first as it's extremely important to keep your tracks intact. Then improve your ammo rack durability with Safe Stowage and reduce the dispersion penalties with Snap Shot and Smooth Ride. Brothers in Arms will give another useful boost to many parameters of the 113.
