Version: 9.13: Changes to Vehicle Stats

General News
In other languages: pl de fr tr cs

Commanders,

Game balance is a very important topic for us and one of our main goals is to ensure high quality gameplay and competitiveness among all vehicles in the tech trees. For this purpose, we constantly gather feedback from our community about various vehicles, as well as gathering statistical data from the thousands of battles fought every day in World of Tanks. We then use all this information to determine whether a vehicle needs changing. Based on the outcome of this evaluation process, a decision is made if the vehicle needs to be rebalanced and if so, then how it needs to be changed and to what extent.

Following this process, a decision has been made to rebalance a total of 37 vehicles in update 9.13. These changes should improve the overall gameplay experience when playing with these vehicles.

USSR

The Т-10 is unique compared to other Tier IX heavy tanks. It cannot be called a classic heavy tank, as it features very high firepower and mobility. Its unique features have a special impact on the gameplay that differs from that of slower, more heavily armoured vehicles. The Т-10 is an assault tank, designed for manoeuvring and aggressive plays. The tank's main function is to be constantly moving and supporting allied medium tanks. The vehicle's high mobility and manoeuvrability are testament to this fact. Its stats have been modified, in order to improve the experience when using this vehicle and to promote a more “active” gameplay experience, focused on mobility.

AP M77 shell penetration on the 90 mm M41 gun increased
from 173 to 181 mm.

In the current version, the vehicle features average stats, with a view range of 420 meters being its most notable one. However, it does not contribute to the proper versatility of a Tier X medium tank, which makes it hard for players to understand their role in battle. We improved the aim time, making it one of the best in Tier X. In addition, we improved the stabilisation of the top-tier gun and introduced a minor damage per minute increase. These changes are intended to highlight the distinctiveness and versatility of the M48A1 Patton, which has always been praised by players.

For the purpose of consistency, with the increase in penetration of several of the 90 mm U.S. medium tank guns, the 90 mm gun for the M48A1 was also improved.
