In the spring of 1945, a specialized pioneer crew in their IX E 75 received orders to go on a highly classified mission. Panzersturmpionier 3D Style

On their way back, word reached them that Allied troops had crossed into Germany and closed in on Berlin from all directions. They needed to avoid drawing attention to complete their mission, but when a distress call from a VIII Tiger II reached them on the outskirts of the capital, the crew decided to head into the city and intervene.

Cut off from their Kampfgruppe and under enemy fire, the Tiger II crew managed to fight off their adversaries but got trapped between rubble and wreckage. With no chance of freeing themselves, assistance by the E 75 was much appreciated. After patching their battered heavy tank with parts and pieces from destroyed American vehicles, the two crews teamed up to fight another day.

Marks of a Bounced Shot and an HE Shell Explosion
The battle left the Tiger II battered and bruised, but not beaten. The crew patched up their tank with scraps, but the impacts of enemy shots are still visible.
