Update 1.7.1: Join the Common Test

Commanders!

The Holidays season might be behind us, but rest assured that World of Tanks will continue to deliver great content, starting with Update 1.7.1. As previewed last week, this update adds a devastating sub-branch to the Soviet tech tree: the double-barreled heavy tanks. But it also tests a new feature, the Demount Kit.  

After our Supertest, it's now time for us to deploy this update in a Common Test. Join it now and try these new features by yourself.

Eligibility: The cut-off was made on January 8, so all players registered prior to 21:59 CET (20:59 UTC) on January 7 can participate in the test.

Main Changes

Demounting Kit

A new type of consumables (Demounting Kit) has been added to the game: it allows demounting one item of complex equipment without using gold. This consumable can be received from each fifth (large) Reward for Merit. Improved Equipment still can be demounted for bonds.

Maps

Balance changes were made on the following maps (for the Encounter Battle type): Himmelsdorf, Ensk, Lakeville, Prokhorovka, Mines, Steppes, Siegfried Line, and Ruinberg.

Added the Encounter Battle type for the Cliff map.

Changes to the technical characteristics of the following vehicles:

France

Added the following vehicles for testing by Supertest players:

  • Char Futur 4
  • Bat.-Châtillon Bourrasque

U.S.S.R.

Added a sub-branch of tanks using the double-barreled gun system that includes the following vehicles:

  • IS-2-II (Tier VIII)
  • IS-3-II (Tier IX)
  • ST-II (Tier X)

Added the following vehicle for testing by Supertest players:

  • Object 752
