  • HE shells can now penetrate screens, tracks, wheels, and destructible obstacles.

Changes to SPGs and Their Mechanics

Update 1.13 (June 2021)

  • Tactical options for SPG attacks and counters were added.
  • SPGs are now equipped with three shell types, each with a specific combat purpose, trajectory, and velocity:
    • Standard HE shells with stun
      • Cause low damage and stun crews for a short period of time
      • Feature the lowest velocity of all three shell types but the most comfortable, high-angle trajectory
    • Alternative HE shells without stun
      • Have a higher velocity but a lower trajectory
      • Higher penetration and damage values than standard HE shells
      • Able to damage internal modules and injure the crew
    • AP shells
      • Have the flattest trajectory, greatest penetration values, and highest velocity of all three shell types
  • SPG shell tracers are now much brighter and clearer, making it easier to gauge the approximate positions of SPGs and the directions from where they fired, as well as when.
  • Sound Detection is a brand-new commander perk that warns of incoming SPG fire and indicates the splash damage radius to trained commanders inside the danger zone.
  • Field of fire markers on the minimap indicate the point of impact of SPG shells for 10 seconds.
