KV-220-2: A Resilient Soviet Experiment

Tank development in the U.S.S.R. was an ongoing process before, during, and after the Second World War. Existing designs were adjusted, new concepts were developed, and many experiments were conducted to create unique and improved machines. One of these experiments was put to the test in the summer of 1940. Soviet tank designers mounted a savage 76 mm ZIS-5 gun on an elongated KV-3 hull. Only one V KV-220-2 prototype ever made it beyond the blueprint stage, but that won't keep this beast from roaming the battlefields of World of Tanks.
