Requirements:

  • The national qualifiers serve to identify a country’s champion and sole representative for the rest of the championship. There will be one National Qualifier for each of the following countries:
  • Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, FYR Macedonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.
  • The players in a team must be citizens or residents of the country they wish to represent in the European Qualifiers.

IP checks:

  • The players in a team must be citizens of the country they represent. By entering the competition, the players consent to collection and further processing of their name, surname and their country of nationality by Wargaming, as may be needed for the purpose of verifying the qualifiers in which they are supposed to play.
  • At the end of the National Qualifiers, IP checks will be conducted to ensure that this rule is respected. In case the IP don’t match the selected qualifier, the players will be asked (via forum, in-game messaging or via their registered email) to provide a proof of citizenship, and will have 24 hours to provide it.
  • In case a team is disqualified, the 2nd team in the winning order will take its place. If additional games are required to determine a winner, the teams will be contacted, and the details (date and time) will also be available on the page of the relevant qualifier.

National Qualifiers Structure:

  1. In the first stage, all the registered teams are sorted into groups of 10 teams. They play a round robin tournament. The top 2 teams advance to the next stage.
  2. In the second stage, the teams play a single-elimination tournament until a winner emerges as the country’s representative.

In case of a draw, both teams will be disqualified (in case of draw in the final game, an organizer may/will set up another battle)
  3. The battles are played in the encounter mode. The team that wins the battle wins the match (best of 1). The duration of a battle is 7 minutes.
  4. In case more than 320 teams register for a specific country’s championship, the last round of the playoffs for this country will be played on the following day.

Note: the team that wins the national qualifiers of Germany automatically advances to Gamescom to play as the host nation.

European Qualifiers Structure:

  1. At this stage, each of the represented countries has one national team engaged in the competition.
  2. In the first stage, all the countries are sorted into 8 groups of 4 to 5 teams. They play a round robin tournament. The top 2 teams of each group advance to the next stage.
  3. In the second stage, all the qualified countries play a single elimination tournament. The top 3 teams are qualified to go to the Finals at Gamescom.
  4. The Battles are played in the attack/defence mode. The first team to win two battles wins the match (best of 3). The duration of a battle is 7 minutes.

Gamescom Finals:

  1. The teams that finish in the top 3 at the end of the European Qualifiers, and the team from Germany (as the host nation) will be eligible for the finals in Cologne during Gamescom 2016, on August 20.
  2. The cost of travel and accommodation will be covered by Wargaming for all the participants.
  3. All the participants will require to be physically present at Gamescom to be able to play in the finals.
  4. Any participant under the age of 16 will be required to travel with a parent or guardian. The cost of travel and accommodation will be covered for that person.
