Vehicle Description

A well-balanced American tank in terms of armor, mobility, and firepower. Like other American vehicles, it boasts good stabilization and gun depression. Its high damage per shot and reliable turret also make it a worthy opponent. The tank is most effective at the forefront of a battle while taking advantage of terrain irregularities.

Historical Reference

The development of this tank began in 1948. It was supposed to be a vehicle with armament similar to the M46, but with better armor. However, due to its low engine power, the tank had poor mobility. After six prototypes were built, all work on the project was discontinued. Some elements of its turret, gun, and fire control system were later used for the M47.
