On their march through Europe, German troops captured many different tanks from various nations. Some were converted with great success and integrated into the German forces. Others, like the French B1 bis, however, were a bit of a troublemaker. The French design wasn’t really compatible with anything the German engineers had to offer. Therefore, most of the over 150 tanks that fell into German hands after the occupation of France were either used for training purposes, converted into flame throwers, or just left as they were.
