WGL Grand Finals: Video & Magazine Contest

Commanders!

As we are all eagerly waiting for the Wargaming.net League Grand Finals, we are organising two contests to get you in the right eSports feeling. Test your creativity in our video and magazine contests, and if your entry wins, you will get rewarded with the legendary Type 59! Now that should convince you, right? By the way, if you want to increase your chance to win, you can participate in both contests.

Wargaming.net League Grand Finals Video Contest

The video contest is about making the most action-packed trailer about the Grand Finals 2015. Make famous film producers look like amateurs and your trailer might be shown during the Grand Finals! Rules are detailed below.

Rules for the Video contest:

  • The goal is to create a 30 second long action trailer about the Wargaming.net League Grand Finals.
  • The video needs to mention the correct place, date, and name of the event.
  • Only soundtracks and music from Wargaming may be used.
  • Your entry must be in one of the EU-supported languages but we recommend creating a video in English.
  • You may use in-game material from old WGL games.
  • If you are working together with another player you must mention the in-game name of the other player when sending your video. That way the gold will be split among both of you.
  • If you have issues with YouTube’s recent policy changes, please write to this email address: youtubepartner@wargaming.net
  • You have to submit your video by 12 April, 19:00 CEST.
  • The winners will be chosen by a vote of the EU eSports Team and will be determined by how many individual votes an entry accumulates.
  • Only one video per person is allowed. If you decide to create multiple videos, only the most recent one will be considered.
  • You need to own a valid Wargaming account for the EU region. If you are 18 years old or younger, you must obtain parental or guardian permission to enter the competition.

By entering the contest you:

  • Agree that your submission can be published and used by Wargaming.net.
  • Agree not to submit copyrighted material from a 3rd party (except material from Wargaming) or materials that are against Wargaming rules or policies.
  • Confirm that you are the author of the video that you submit.

Prizes for the Video contest:

The best videos will be promoted via our Social Media channels and if your video is the best of them all, it even might be shown during the Grand Finals! Wargaming.net League Grand Finals Magazine Contest

Are videos not your thing but designing a single picture is something you are good at? Prove your journalism skills in our second contest and create the cover of an eSports magazine that would entice anyone to read it. The subject of it should of course be the Grand Finals. You also need to include a name for your magazine, a slogan, cover images, and some headlines for fictional articles you would include if it was a real magazine.

Rules for the Magazine contest:

  • The submitted magazine cover must be your own work.
  • The cover needs to mention the correct place, date, and name of the event.
  • Post the picture in either .jpg or .png format into our special thread.
  • You have to submit your entry by 12 April, 19:00 CEST.
  • If you are linking to an external image hosting website, please ensure that the link is valid for at least a month.
  • The picture must be between 800 and 2 000 pixels wide.
  • Your magazine cover must not be bigger than 2MB.
  • Only 1 entry per player is allowed.
  • Your entry must be in one of the EU-supported languages but we recommend creating your cover in English.
  • Players may use WG logos and WGL photos owned by WG from past WGL events.
  • The winners will be chosen by a vote of the EU eSports Team and will be determined by how many individual votes an entry accumulates.
