Intel Extreme Masters – First Polish Qualifier Results

The first round of the Intel Extreme Masters Polish qualifiers is over and two teams have already fought their way up the ladder to take part in the finals in Katowice.  These two first Polish teams are already well known in the World of Tanks eSports arena for being great players and for taking part in a lot of competitions. We would like to congratulate the Lemming Train and the Evil Panda Squad for getting into the finals!

The first team we’d like to introduce you to is the Lemming Train. This team is mentioned first for good reason, as they have already shown that lemmings do have teeth. They confirmed it once again yesterday (on the 19th of December) during the EMS Winter Season final in a ferocious series of battles for the title of the champion of the EMS Winter Seasons 2012.  Whilst the Lemming Train didn’t win, they did show a great deal of tactical thinking and professional tank commanding skills that won them second place in that tournament. You can check the list of players on their team profile on the ESL website.

The second team that will take a trip to the IEM finals is the Evil Panda Squad! The EPS have also been taking part in the EMS tournament, but didn’t get to the finals. However, they represented the EU server during the Ural Steel 2012 championship! In the first round of the Polish qualifiers they showed a great level of team play and tactical thinking and we hope to see more of that in the coming games! Their last fight to get to the finals was against the 1SBP Zawisza team, one of the undoubtedly best Polish teams out there, who represented Poland in the WCG Championship in China. The EPS won 3:2, proving that these pandas are not the cuddly type.

If you want to take part in the Intel Extreme Masters tournament, there is still time! The signups for the qualifiers end today and the matches will take place today in the late evening! All teams from across Europe are eligible to enter in one of the other qualifiers. Poland has two qualifiers of its own, due to the IEM being hosted in Poland this year.

The second Polish qualifier round will take place on the 22nd of December 2012.

The other four qualifiers will take place on the 20th of December 2012. The qualifiers are:
