The Grand Finals 2016: prime contests

The Grand Finals are rapidly approaching and before they arrive, on 8 and 9 April, it seems the perfect time to give everyone a first taste of the promised epicness that the event will bring. The two contests below will heavily reward those who are brave enough to give them a try! They will really put you to the test and require creativity, dedication and patience. Are you good with your hands, do you have the soul of an artist? Or are you a talented videomaker? If the answer to all these questions is yes, you are warmly encourage to participate in both contests!

The video contest : The first step to winning an oscar!

Rules:

• Create a 30 second long video trailer focused on a team attending the Wargaming.net League Grand Finals 2016.
• The video must mention the correct date, name of the event, venue, and feature the logo of the chosen team.
• The chosen team can be of any region:
  • if you choose a team from the EU, your team has to be qualified for the Grand Finals 2016.
  • if you choose a team from another region than the EU, you need to make sure that it participated in the Gold Series Season 2 in that region. Your submission will be valid even if the team you selected does not qualify for the event.
• Only soundtracks and music from Wargaming may be used.
• You may use in-game material from any WGL games.
• The deadline for submitting your video is 28 March, 12:00 CET.
• Only one video is allowed per participant. If you create multiple videos, only the most recent one will be considered.
• Only one player name can be submitted for a video.
• You need to own a valid Wargaming account for the EU region. If you are younger than 18 years old, you must obtain parental or guardian permission to enter the competition.
• The winners will be chosen by a vote of the EU eSports Team.

• By entering the contest you:

  • Agree that your submission can be published and used by Wargaming.net.
  • Agree not to submit copyrighted material from a 3^rd party (except material from Wargaming) or materials that are against Wargaming rules or policies.
  • Confirm that you are the author of the video that you submit.

Prizes:

The paper tank contest. Handiwork!

• Create a paper tank and decorate it in the colours of a team attending The Grand Finals 2016.
• Send us a picture of your creation:
  • The name of the chosen team must be handwritten and clearly visible on the picture you submit.
  • Your in-game name must be handwritten and clearly visible on the picture you submit.
• The construction will matter as much as the decoration of the tank.
• The chosen team can be from any region:
  • if you choose a team from the EU, your team has to be qualified for the Grand Finals 2016.
  • if you choose a team from another region than the EU, you need to make sure that it participated in the Gold Series Season 2 in that region. Your submission will be valid even if the team you selected does not qualify for the event.

Which teams will participate in the Grand Finals, you ask? They haven't even been announced yet! The reason is simple: all the regions haven't played their finals yet. But if you have paid close attention to the Wargaming.net League this season, you should already know two European representatives: Tornado Rox and Wombats on Tanks. You can safely choose one of these teams.

If you are a bit more of a hardcore fan, or if you feel like taking a wild guess on the participating teams from the other regions, you are more than welcome. We would love to see trailers for teams from Asia or North America for example. As stated in the rules, if you go for a team from the rest of the world, we will not disqualify your work if the chosen team does not qualify for The Grand Finals.

In any case, the name of the 12 teams will be announced shortly after 15 March (the date of the CIS finals), before the end of the contest.
