Gold Series Finalist: Schoolbus

If you’re new to the Gold Series, you may not know about Schoolbus’s amazing triumph during the exciting conclusion to last season. They took on long-time rivals Virtus.PRO – who many assumed would clinch victory – and emerged the winner! The question on everyone’s lips is: can they make it two Gold Series in a row?

Schoolbus finished in sixth place in the online phase of Season 5, meaning they only just scraped through to the offline finals, but no one should underestimate this fearsome team – they may just end up surprising us all once again! Let’s not forget that they also won Rumble in the West.

We have a few words from their Team Captain about how they’re feeling going into the finals:

Season Five for our team was not easy – we’ve had some major roster changes that, combined with lack of practice, turned out to be a major issue. The overall skill in the league has risen drastically and it takes a great deal to keep up with it. There is no more room for mistakes and miscalculations, and if your team doesn’t work as a well-oiled machine, then you are up for a struggle. That’s what happened to us.
The offline finals in Sofia promise to be very hardcore, all teams are going there with only one goal - to take the championship, and we are gonna fight for it.

- Alexey 'Arclit’ Nogin, Team Captain

Sounds like Schoolbus aren’t about to give up any time soon. If you want to see if they can live up to last year’s performance, be ready for the offline finals, 28 February through 1 March. If you can’t join us in Sofia, Bulgaria, you can tune in to our official WGLEU Twitch.tv channel.

Watch out for more information published via our WGL Facebook and Twitter, and on the portal. You can also check out Schoolbus’s Facebook.

See you in Sofia, Schoolbus!
