Three out of four qualifier rounds for the CeBIT 2013 Intel Extreme Masters tournament have already taken place and we know the names of the majority of the teams. CeBIT takes place in Hanover, Germany, from the 5th to the 9th March, and the four qualifying teams will be sent for a trip to that wonderful town to take part in the finals!
The last round of the qualifier will take place on the 23rd of February. Below you can find a short summary of what has happened so far.
1SBP Zawisza qualified in the first round after facing mostly Polish teams and scoring an almost flawless victory with one loss against the LTR: Seven Sins team. They managed to beat the Evil Panda Squad as well as the Lemming Train. Congratulations!
SPALE qualified in the second round. In their case the road to victory was more bumpy. Two Go4WoT teams from Russia (Synergy and RED GRA) posed a particularly big challenge, beating them in two rounds, but a straight line of victories before meant they were able to blast their way to CeBIT!
Lemming Train qualified in the third round, crushing all their opponents and scoring a flawless victory.
There is now only one round of the CeBIT IEM qualifiers left, with several well-known teams still not qualified.
Why is the CeBIT 2013 Intel Extreme Masters tournament particularly important for every World of Tanks eSports fan? It is because it is the first chance to qualify for the first season of the newly formed World of Tanks Pro League which is part of the big Wargaming.net League system!
How does it work? Each team who qualifies for CeBIT will not only fight for the Intel Extreme Masters prize pool of 10,000 Euros, but will also automatically be qualified to take part in the World of Tanks Pro League, facing eleven other teams in battle for one of the six places in the season 1 final!
It’s still not too late to get a team together and take part in the final qualifier! Team up and sign up for the last round, and imagine what you’ll do with all that money and fame!
