If you are not in a clan yet, you must join one to be able to participate in Clan Wars.
You can find the complete list of clans in «Community» > «Clans».
The most efficient way to find a clan is to create your Personal File. The data you provide in your Personal File is used for an automated clan search.
How to create your Personal File:
The first five recommended clans are also displayed in a special widget in your profile.
Click to view the terms of recruitment of a selected clan. This symbol is not displayed if official applications have been disabled by the clan.
You can edit your Personal File any time. The automated clan-search results will be modified accordingly. To edit your Personal File go to My Profile > Personal File.
If you decide to join a clan, start with an official application.
To apply to a clan:
Wait for the clan officers to review your application. If approved, you will receive an official invitation to join the clan.
You can send up to 100 applications per day.
If the clan has disabled official applications, the icon is inactive.
If you decide to join a clan that does not allow official applications, try to contact the Commander of the clan.
To contact the clan’s Commander:
Wait for the clan’s Commander to review your application. If approved, you will receive an official invitation to join the clan.
You can see all the invitations you have received in My Profile > Invitations. Each invitation is valid for seven days from the day of receipt.
To accept an invitation, click Accept > Yes. You will join the clan with the rank of Recruit.
You can view the page of the clan you joined in My Profile > My Clan.
To join another clan you have to leave the current one.
To leave your clan:
Once you leave the clan, you cannot apply to other clans for the next 48 hours.
To take part in Clan Wars, a player must have participated in at least one battle in World of Tanks in a vehicle of Tier V or higher. A clan receives one chip for each clan member who meets this requirement. All chips are stored in the clan’s Reserve on the Global Map.
The maximum number of clan members is 100. You can see the list of a clan’s current Military Personnel on the Clan Details page.
Only authorised clan officers (Commander, Deputy Commanders and Recruiters—see Positions and Permissions) can recruit and manage the Military Personnel of their clan.
To invite a player to your clan:
Once the player accepts your invitation, they will join your clan with the rank of Recruit. A new chip appears in the Reserve on the Global Map after the next turn is processed. The chip will be available for relocation after 24 hours.
If a player joins a clan when the Global Map is frozen, the chip will appear in the Reserve only after the game resumes and the next turn is processed.
You can send up to 100 invitations per day.
If you have no suitable candidates, you can use the automated search to find the players that best match your clan’s requirements. To enable the automated search, fill in your terms of recruitment.
To fill in your terms of recruitment:
Time in–game (as specified in the table for each player) is displayed in your local time format.
Click to invite a player to your clan. To invite multiple players, check their names in the list and click Invite to Clan.
Click to send a message to a player.
As a clan’s Commander, you can decide if your clan should receive official applications from players.
To enable applications to your clan:
Once your clan has 100 members, the terms of recruitment are hidden automatically and applications to clan are disabled.
You can see all the applications made to your clan in My Profile > Applications. Each application is valid for seven days from the day of receipt.
To accept an application, click Accept > Yes. The applicant joins the clan with the rank of Recruit.
Only the clan’s Commander and Deputy Commanders can exclude players from a clan.
To exclude a player from your clan:
Once excluded, those player(s) cannot apply to other clans for the next 48 hours. The chips relating to those players are removed from the Reserve on the Global Map after the next turn is processed.
If a player leaves a clan when the Global Map is frozen, the chip relating to that player will be removed from the Reserve only after the game resumes and the next turn is processed.
