This tank is one of the first prototypes of the Swedish main battle tank Stridsvagn, also known as the S-Tank. It was known for its unconventional design; turretless with a fixed gun, traversed by engaging the tracks and elevated by adjusting the hull suspension. The Strv tanks were developed and manufactured in Sweden in the 1950s and were the first battle tanks to use a turbine engine.
